I have had two different Spec III clutches in two different cars. The first car was a full-bolton 99' WS6 with a TR224 cam, 4.30s, and lots of BMR stuff under it and it has had about 26,xxx hard miles put on it between me and the guy I sold it to and the clutch is still doing just fine. I just put a Spec III in my current car, broke it in like Spec said and haven't had any problems with it. And I also see that you said that you had a spring break off your clutch? Neither of my Spec IIIs had any springs in the clutch itself.

It's expensive at first. But you already went through 2 spec clutches at about $400 each, and ready for the third one, so that's at least $1200 , and that's without new flywheel or resurfacing, and without labor if you don't do it yourself.
I was going to go with Spec also, but then all these Spec problems started coming out, I'm glad I didn't buy a Spec.
I paid $850 for my clutchmasters. 13000 miles and loving it

eboggs from ls2 is using this same clutch with an Incon twin turbo pushing 500+ rwhp for nearly 2 years now I believe with no problems.
The beauty of the clutchmasters is that it drives like stock even during break-in. No chatter at all. And grabs like a ****!

I have 30 Ram clutches in route that should be here any day now. We have their Powergrip HD in our '99 Corvette with a D1SC ProCharger, and it's nothing but pure abuse with over 600 RWHP! We've had excellent luck with Ram's products, and I could get you better pricing on the Ram products than I could on the SPEC. Just give me a call or shoot me an e-mail at trevor@texas-speed.com, and I'll be glad to go over Ram's various clutch systems with pricing.
