Trans rebuild bearing question

Trans rebuild bearing question I have taken apart the trans and have inspected every thing. The odd thing that I did find was the input shaft bearing race and the front countershaft bearing race could be spun by hand. 
I have never seen a bearing race that was not pressed in. I got them to fall out and notice that they had been spining in the housing. There was scoring and wear showing.
Is this suposed to be like that? If not how much horrible damage is there?
