Gears too high/thin tires?

Gears too high/thin tires? Car makes most power @ 5750 rpm.. I had a limiter set to 7 for a while..but seems like its best to not shift after 6 for most power..but..when i have the rev limiter set to 6..i basically dont have 2nd gear... I go thru first, switch and its already at redline spinning..so i have to switch to 3rd right then..
@ 7K rpms it seems fine..but less power..
tires are 245s oh and gears are 4:10
advices?
If motor would make most power or same power at 7 as at 5750+ I would love that..but what would I need to do? Or DO i need to go bigger tires? That would be hard on a fc. Or Do I need to go lower gears?
