For example, Clutch Masters has a review of stock pedal pressure and gripping power to hold onto 600 rwtq, yet no one runs it, no one recommends it, and absolutely no one talks about it. Why is that?
I believe the ausi clutch is in a specialty product that was marketed well. In other words, they are closer to being here in the mainstream market as is possible without being everwhere. It's interesting to see what they come up with. They are our bitches.

The Aussie clutch (0Z700) has undergone rigorous testing in Australia for no less than 2 ½ years and Stateside for almost 12 months. It has worked behind a wide range of LS1 applications including Supercharged and turbocharged engines. Textralia is currently testing its own composite flywheel which is unlike any other, soon to be released. No paying customer has ever been asked to test a Textralia product. All R&D is done in house and in most cases, within Australia. This is why, there is still only one OZ700 and is sold as a complete unit.

>> ZO6, but then again im not running the tranny behind an ls1 so it will be perfect for what i need it to do
I understand, however Z06 in my car works well with smooth engagement. Really should replace only if the stocker is not holding.

Textralia going in here. Plenty of guys are using this clutch allready with great reports. Stock Z06 is doing fine, for now, but I see the end of it's usefull life at 10,800 miles.

This best clutch thread changes every year... there is always something fashionable (2005 was the year of Textralia). Just wait another couple of years and they will have as many complaints as the mainstream companies that sell 1000's of clutches. Note that it is not the HP rating that you should look at but rather the application. I think Textralia mentioned 700HP but this was for a drift car. A 700HP drift car probably puts as much stress on the clutch as a sub 400HP drag car with slicks.

TEXTRELLIA.............
that is all.
grippy, never chattered, can roll my 233/239 cammed
z28 from a dead stop without hitting the go peddle.
did I mention its 1/2 as hard as my old centerforce.
I am losing my huge left leg!

Im trying to find which clutch will give the best clutch life and driveability, which will also perform at the track.
I will be buying a kit with a billet steel flywheel too.
I'd like to keep the cost under $700 or so
Im stuck between the Spec 3, Spec 3 w/ "F" upgrade, or Ram Powergrip.
Ive heard so many mixed reviews that Im worried about getting any of these now.
what other options would be good, (ZO6?)

I had a centerforce DF in my car. It was great for a daily driver. I had bolt ons with 100 shot and it held great. But now with my new engine with the redline at 7000rpm the centerforce lasted 3 runs at the track and blew apart. I put in a Ram HD from Thunder Racing and It has 5000 miles on it and lots of abuse and it is still holding strong.
