Which clutch to get
For a daily driver with around 400 rwhp, that sees occasional track use with some high rpm clutch dumps.
Im trying to find which clutch will give the best clutch life and driveability, which will also perform at the track.
I will be buying a kit with a billet steel flywheel too.
I'd like to keep the cost under $700 or so
Im stuck between the Spec 3, Spec 3 w/ "F" upgrade, or Ram Powergrip.
Ive heard so many mixed reviews that Im worried about getting any of these now.
what other options would be good, (ZO6?)

AUSSIE, you can get one from textralia.com. one of my buddies has one and he loves it better than the spec or the mcleod. (he's had both) i've driven it and it is pretty impressive for all of the gm parts that come with it.

I liked my spec 3. I know alot of people have had problms but mine was great. I sold the car and now my new ss has a z06 clutch but I dont know how much it will hold. My car should be somewhere around 360 rwhp right now and it holds just fine

Textralia is probably the best, but his original post mentions that he would like to keep the price to $700, the textralia kit is ~900 or so (granted, it includes everything you need).

it's funny how many people say textralia, but how many of you have one? i'll bet not as many as those saying how great it is. that clutch is too new to tell, hell i don't think anyone has had one for two or three years. at this point you can't tell if it's all that or not. i can tell you this,i had centerforce and it sucks gone after 700mi(it never died,i just hated it that much).i've gone through two rams(910-lasted 1,100mi and 980-lasted 2,500mi each with less then 40 track passes) i just bought a spec st3 and will install it as soon as it arrives.my bud has the spec st3 and it has been great from day one for him. every clutch has a bad story,i feel a good clutch is a hit of miss with the ls1. goodluck to ya.

name a very quick or very heavy or very high torque car that beats on it hard and often that has a textralia?
i think it would be a good move on textralias part to send one out to me and ill beat it up for em and then i'll send it back... i dont want to keep it.. just do some 'reasearch' on it.
same goes for that $$$ excedy clutch.
