Beginner at launching

Beginner at launching I feel silly asking how do to this. I have never known how to launch my car. I am talking about street launches on street tires. What is the proper way to launch hard? On a stock clutch am I going to kill it trying to do this?

This is something that will only come with practice. When I goto the track or I am racing from a light, I always rev it to about 2300, then I feather the clutch until I feel the tires grab and then nail it. Just dont dump the clutch. Practice will only make this better. Im assuming you have street tires, or do you have drag radials?

Yes you need to practice. Practice makes perfect. This rings very true when it comes to launching these cars. Eventually you will get to the point when you know what it takes to launch it well and you will be cutting awesome lights!! Good luck and have fun practicing!!

Lauch at a certain (low) RPM, and gradually work your way up until the tires dont hook. Ive been playing around with it, and it seems that i cant lauch past 2500RPMs without smoking my tires all the way through 1st.

Other times I start well but bog it and then go, I think I am too tentative about it.
