I know they can withstand a lot. I just dump it and lightly hit the brakes real quick. Nothing much to it.

Yeah, what he said or line locks are nice.. (you push the break in, push a button, it holds the brakes on, leaving your other two feet free to work the clutch and gas, makes things a little easier)

As far as the clutch goes... seems like if you run a good bit of power or race a lot or both... you're gonna go through clutches pretty quick no matter what, there are lots of guys who regularly do 5,000+ RPM dumps with these things... And if you're just wanting do a burn out, you dont even need half that to get these cars to smoke um.

Line Lock. Line Lock. Line Lock.

When I have to do it without one, I use the heel of my right foot and stomp on the brake. I use my toes to rev it up and dump the clutch with my left foot. Then I flex my toes back and forth to control the revs during the burnout. However, that's the "shade tree" way, using a linelock is the right way.

How do you install line locks? And those also allow for just your front brakes to grab so your rear brakes dont burn up right? How expensive are they?

its installed in the hydraulic lines for the front brakes. You mash the brake pedal, it pressurizes the hydraulic lines the line lock closes some solenoids and holds up the pressure in front of it so you can let off the pedal and the brakes stay on. you turn it on/off by way of a button.

Alright thanks for the advice, the other thing would be, how long do you stay with the stock shifter, do yall replace it the same day or do yall wait awhile driving stock until you feel like changing shifters?
