Mcleod masters still having problems..?
Mcleod masters still having problems..? I got one last year and it worked for maybe a few weeks.Its a big pain to send it back so just going to try to fix it with a rebuild kit. I hear you bore them out with like a brake tool or something similar and then the seals don't rip up.
I am amazed that mcleod can't seem to fix this problem on these expensive
things and for sure will never buy a mcleod product ever again.
I willl also be ripping out that master if the rebuilt don't fix it and going with a texatralia or mabye clutchmasters clutch.
Anyone else still having bad luck with their mcleod masters lately.??
Oh it worked good when first installed although it was hard to bleed and used a mityvac and then no gears and you could pump it like two hundred times and get them again sort of but let it sit and back to no gears again.Sure it has to be master .The clutch was working fine ,cartech clutch with the modified factory master but that master would not hold its setting.

I have heard if you just order the rebuild kit, it will fix the problems normally associated with the McLeod. An of course, deburring it with the brake deburring tool. I am going to try this out soon, so I'll post up and letcha know how it goes! Good luck!!

Mine finally ripped after a year. When I took it apart to do the rebuild, you could physically see where the cup was being cut. I used a small brake cylinder hone from autozone and honed it out nice. I have had it running for at least a year now, and still no problems.

What kind of problems were they having with the master cylinder? My Mcloed clutch stinks. My clutch release point is all over the place. I hate even driving the car with this clutch. The system has been bled several times but with no improvement in clutch performance.

I will never get another one.Mine work great for about a year and when I installed a new clutch it started leaking. No one had a rebuild kit in stock so I had to get a new factory adjustable one.For 300 plus $ you would think that it would last longer than a year.
