I was quoted between $900 - $1400 by my dealer for a clutch replacement.
I tend to think that it would be more once they saw the headers, etc.

Get a knowledgable friend and do it yourself. These clutches, except for the hydraulics, are no different in concept from my 1960's musclecars. Somebody who's put in a couple of clutches would have no problem. The hydraulics are simple as well. I did the whole job in a weekend with some minor help from my 11 year old son. The only special tools are a floor jack and a clutch alignment tool. Go to the Cartek or Install University sites. Both have good step-by-step guides

the dealerjips also replace the flywheel in their clutch jobs. you can turn yours. (ON A FLYWHEEL LATHE. NOT A BRAKE LATHE) warrenty is just over 1/2 price on labor than cash. IMAGIN THAT! clutch jobs are easy, just bulky to work with when you don't have a lift, trans jack, ect, ect. I always replace the rear main seal when I do 1, also the pilot bearing/bushing. a lot of techs forget this.check the front trans seal also. good luck!

ehh,, the only thing i have is a couple of tools, a floorjack, and jackstands.... I don't feel ready enough to tackle a clutch install..mostly cause this is my only daily driver.. i'd be pissed and screwed if i messed something up.. thanks for the confidence though maybe in the future when I have some more room, tools, and a 2nd car I'll try doing it myself.
