Question T56 w/ a transfer case?

Is there a way to convert a t56 to have a transfer case on it?

You would need a custom adapter plate to mate the T56 output shaft with whatever transfer case you are choosing. Advanced Adapters may have it or could make you one ($$$$).

An NV4500 would be a much easier solution and has better gearing for 4x4ing... unless you plan to make an AWD car.

Care to elaborate on your intended use for this and car/driveline setup?

Check up in the conversions forum as someone was stuffing an LS1 and a T56 into a typhon (spelled right?) Looked pretty wicked.

What vehicle are you thinking about stuffing this in? Great concept.

You might try an NV5600. It's cast iron, and heavy as all get out, but it'll handle 560 ft-lbs stock, compared to the T56's 450. Plus it has a MUUUCH lower 1st gear that'll get you out of the hole quicker.
