I have tried spec and exeedy twin plate.
the spec lasted about 300km on the street.
the Exeedy lasted about 5 passes down the quarter and that was leaving the line at only 2000rpm and using little 8 x 26 inch ET slicks.
I then i tried a Textralia clutch and wow
I leave the line on a quarter mile pass at 5000rpm slipping it out of the hole to iliminate as much traction loss as possible from those little tyres , no problems! i some times even HOT LAP IT!
Im making 1000hp with a opprox 4000lb car at 145mph and i have now completed over 80 passes with this clutch and nearly 5000 street km's
with no problems.
if it wasnt for this clutch i would have gone auto by now at most people do once they hit the 10's.

I'm looking for a clutch myself in the near future, and haven't seen a single mention of any of the McLeod systems? Does anyone buy these anymore? I had one on my 2000 SS, which made just slightly less HP than my Hawk, and it had great grab, and was very streetable. Did something happen to their quality in the past 3 years that would make me steer clear of the Single Disc version?
