I have the Spec Stage 3 clutch and pressure plate on my '99 Z28. With 540 rwhp recorded on my Mustang Chassis Dyno, it has been holding up just fine. It has endured many dragstrip runs without any problems. Did you waste yours? The Spec Stage 3 should work just fine at your horsepower level. Bob

i think its pretty much gone. it slips all the time. I'm not sure if having the stock flyhwheel had anything to do with it. what flywheel do you have?

Diamond, dont wanna insult you so don't take it like I'm talking down or anything...
Billet just refers to the fact that a part is cut from a solid block (or billet) of material as opposed to stamping, forging, or other manufacturing processes. It allows parts to be stronger and perform more predictably because they keep the properties of the original material without being modified by side effects of processes such as melting metal.
An aluminum flywheel will give you less rotating mass on the engine and result in faster acceleration. This sounds good, but if you go too light it can slow you down off the line and make it harder to get moving. I have a Fidanza Aluminum flywheel on my car at 12.5lbs and I'm really happy with it.
If you search around you'll find plenty of much more detailed explainations about the tradeoffs between a heavier and lighter flywheel.

3rd for the aussie clutch.....it feels great and grabs like a *****. i have allmost 1k miles on mine and i have absolutely no chatter (spec 3 i had never stopped chattering) and it feels like a stock clutch...grabs at stock height. its rated at 750hp but like big shaun allready stated, there are people running alot more and its holding up great. i too will never ever put a spec product in any of my cars...quality blows and customer service isnt up to par. not so with Textralia. its well worth the money.
goodluck
btw...run a recent search on spec clutches and see what kind of problems people (including myself) have had with them. welded mine to the flywheel after 10 months and less than 10k miles with about half dozen track passes on just motor...it was never sprayed at the track.
