Default new tranny mount for popping??

i hear this popping sound when i accelerate sometimes. It seems to happen when there isnt much traction but only in 1st gear and sometimes in 2nd gear. I was told that this is because i need a new tranny mount. Is this the problem and what brand of mount is best?

I just did the Energy Suspension Tranny Mount, I like it alot.
I think the part # is 3.1110GC, do a search and you will find it.

Do not use the Preload spacer, just install the mount without it.

Do you have an Automatic, with my 6 speed I also got a bang on the 1-2 shift at WOT, but in 1st and 2nd I would get a pop or clunk on hard acceleration, the tranny mount fixed that.

It sounded like the exhaust banging to me too.

I also have Long tube headers and a catted y-pipe, so I thought it might be that, but the tranny mount cured the problem.

It is a very inexpensive reapair and worth a try.
