I voted stalled auto since you said you said you would be racing from a dig but I prefer the 6 speed. Its more fun to drive and I pull about 28mpg on the highway even with the my cam and everything.

my pros and cons would be that the 6-speed is more fun to drive, stronger, gets better gas mileage (i got 33 or so on a long highway trip), and i think they are a little faster, if you know how to drive. For the auto, not having to shift is a good thing, if you wanna be all romantic with your girl you dont have to let go of her to shift the car, if you are in lots of traffic your leg could get tired, clutches wear out, and thats about all of the things i could think of. Pros for one could be a con for the other, or vice versa.

A stalled auto is good for launching at the strip.

A 6 speed is good for everything else.

Pros of M6, gets more power to the ground, fun to drive, faster when driven right. Cons, breaks more **** (rear ends, drive shafts), ls1 hydrolics are a bitch and will give you many headaches.

I love driving stick. My past 2 cars were auto. Only thing that SUCKS with a manuel is when you replace the clutch, be prepared to spend over $1,000 in parts and labor because it can be very, very expensive. Thats the only thing I miss with my auto's, I never had to fix and tranny/shifter problems. Sucks *** having to spend all this money on clutche/flywheel/pressure plate/slave and master cylinder/TO and Pilot bearings. But stick is just way more fun.
