Default clutch plate damaged

I bought the ZO6 clutch kit from GMpartsdirect but the clutch plate is slightly damaged at the ends. There is three areas where is damaged. Ones is about an inch long a 1/4 inch wide and the others are small chips. Do I need to worry about this?

Post some photos of the damage. If it's just scratches and chips on the pressure plate cover, it's probably OK. But if it's in the mounting surface and it's raised, or if it's in the plate where it contacts the disc, I'd send it back.

On on the carbon part and the pics i have are too large and I haven;t been able to get more. It seems like the when it was packaged they put the clutch plate (the one with the carbon) between the flyweel and the pressure and it moved and hit the ends of the clutch plate.

OK, so the damage is on the clutch disc. Are we talking just little chips out of the fiber? That's probably OK, but I'd still like to see photos. Or you can take it by a friend who works on cars and let him look at it.
