Thunder Racing:
I would get a new flywheel with the new clutch so you have everything brand new. Sell your current flywheel.

37-64048B-00-07 McLeod Street Twin Dual-Disk Clutch, Steel Flywheel (Master cylinder NOT included), 1998-2002 LS1 F-body $815.00

37-72801-07 McLeod REV-LOK II Clutch Kit, includes sintered iron clutch disk and stock style pressure plate. 1998-2002 LS1 F-body, 1997-2002 LS1 Corvette. (Slight modifications required to work with factory flywheel.) $699.99

I don't know what the REV-LOK II clutch kit is. Call Thunder and ask. I am sure there are other sponsors which sell McLeod but Thunder was the first that came to mind.

Good luck
Andy

I have a stage 4i with no problems. Its a bit tough to push in but makes for a good anti-theft part.

i think i didnt explain well enough,my fault, i just bought a new flywheel sitting in my garage,SFI approved steel with carbide teeth etc.And just finished a new master and slave.Im curious what the means that slight modifications are needed to work with a flywheel?

Having been through the following:

Stock Z06
McLeod Dual Disc
Exedy Dual
Textralia

I'd recommend the Textralia. Best clutch I've used. The McLeod has too much mass, and you can't powershift it well even with the AL flywheel its heavier thana stock single disc clutch. Ours started slipping after 40 passes.

Mcloed is junk !!!!! Nothing but problems for me, thats why it sits in the box that my spec clutch came in. I did exactally what your telling ls1charged to do a couple of years ago by buying it first and I ended up spending a whole lot of time and money with the damb thing. Not only that there customer service sucks after you send it back over and over again. Go spec stage 5 its a good clutch and affordable.

If you have a turbo LS, and you can't see spending the bucks for supporting mods that will actually work, sell the car or rethink big power.

Gotta pay to play, my friend.

That said... none of the above are a good choice.
CF will NOT hold it.
Spec has a variety of problems, primary of which is not really suitable for street use, even if yours doesn't go boom.

Search... this has been discussed a bunch of times, latest concensus seems to be Textralia. As far as customer service... when the spec goes boom, don't expect much help. Textralia has an EXCELLENT cs reputation. Something to consider.

I wouldn't even bother with a spec 3. I tried two of them and they wouldn't hold 500+rwhp very well. one made it about 40 passes, the next about 10. swapped to a spec 5 and its doing very well. made about a dozen passes with 680rwhp on a 100shot and about 50 passes on motor, 550rwhp. no signs of slipping, but occasionally it sticks to the floor if I don't let it cool down.
(I think this is a hydraulic problem, not a clutch problem)

Textralia

Thats what I would look it. They have almost 100% postive feedback I have only seen 1 or 2 bad posts and great customer service.

I got mine from the WS6STORE.
