Another FYI:
I called TByrne to order a SPEC LS2 billet steel flywheel. They informed me that SPEC says their billet steel flywheel will only work with their clutches. The billet alum. flywheel will work with other clutches.

13lbs for the fidanza aluminum LS2 according to Gripforce
.5lbs over the LS1 alum.
These LS7 clutches seem a good alternative. I'd like to hear more on how well they bite as compared to somethin like a SPEC 3

Those that are using the LS7 clutch in an F-body - should I still use an adjustable master with this, or can I switch back to a new OEM master?
I want the clutch/brake pedals at the same height for road racing. When they are near the same height, the friction point was too close to the floor for my liking. If an OEM master would fix that issue and be reliable with the LS7 clutch, then I'll switch.

if you buy a ls7 clutch from a dealership and say a "fidanza" flywheel do you have to have everything balanced? also what about bolts? can you use the old ones or can you buy a gm or maybe an arp bolt package?

I was planning on having them balanced assuming it's not an outrageous price, just for peace of mind. I've read nothing about buying new bolts, but I don't believe there's any harm in buying OEM replacements or ARP's as long as you use the appropriate torque figure, the correct length, and use at least blue thread locking compound.

I'm still contemplating whether or not to balance. The Fidanza wheel is CNC machined (I assume on a lathe), so it's unlikely to be unbalanced. The Fidanza instructions say as much. But that's not to say that the clutch parts are in balance. I'm sure GM ensures they are balanced, but to within some wide factory range.
Either way, the new setup without additional balancing must be better than the stock one I'm replacing.
