Centerforce 12" DF Clutch installed...
I received my Centerforce 12" DF clutch about 3 weeks ago, and had been told by them, that it was one of the first new ones out (supposedly they redid them to holdu p better)....I can't attest to the truth of this, however...
But, I can say that so far, I love the clutch. I've got about 500 miles on it now, and I've not beat on it "too" much as of yet, a couple street passes, but its held up with flying colors so far...I've made one pass, feathering the clutch from about 3 grand, and it was NICE to actually have a clutch that GRABS.
Its rated at 600 HP, and it is easy as the stock clutch on the street, daily driving in traffic is no problem at all...
I'll report back after I put some more miles, and some harder passes on it.

It seemed to have a slight chatter back when I first installed it, and was riding the clutch pretty bad (trying to park)....But it was a one time ocurrence, that hasn't happened since...But now, no I am not

How much did it run you?? I need a better clutch that dosent costa 1000 dollars!! I put in a spec1 that was $380 and it slips with half throtle, when hot barely holds 1/4 throttle.... cam only car.... cant imagine im making more than 150 HP at 1500rpm either.

Keep us updated, I was sooooooooooooooo close to getting the 12 inch disc DF but as soon as I picked up the phone to call Will Baty the Textralia guys called me so I got that one. I hope I made the right choice, I miss my original DF
Let us know how it goes with it.

FWIW, I've had a couple people asking me about them via IM and PM....I'm pretty sure that Mr. Sam Strano carries Centerforce, if you'd like to PM him...

Great to hear good things about the Centerforce DF. So many people said they had problems with them in the LS1 applications. I had one in my last car & beat it to ****. It outlasted my motor. When I blew the motor racing the clutch had been on there for a year & when we swapped motors we checked it all out & it was still in great shape. As long as the good reviews keep comin in I might decide to go with one in the T/A.

I"m running a Centerforce Billet Steel flywheel, though its not a requirement....
If I got a flywheel from GM, I'd have a machine shop check the balance on it....but thats just me

00silver,
I would advise you PMing one of our fine sponsors. I'd advise PMing Sam Strano, as he's been a big help to me....I will tell you however, that the Centerforce is not the most affordable flywheel on the market (though not to say any of the others are inferior by any means)....FWIW
Ranger,
Will Baty is a member here....you should be able to PM him. You could also call him, he's posted his # at work, on the board before....I'll PM it to you
