OE is good for slop. The Pro 5.0 is the most precise to me.

Why not use the stock pro 5.0 stick and just cut some off. I did the drill mod and flush my fluid really well plus wrapped my line and mine isnt very notchy at all.

I didn't notice any difference between the Hurst and OE.

I went back to the stock shifter today. It's 100x better now. Nice and smooth.

I don't quite know what the drill mod involves. I think it makes the clutch respond better if I'm not mistaken, right? I wouldn't trust myself drilling out parts of my car. I have very shaky hands due to a minor neurological disorder.

I have owned both the Pro 5.0 and the B&M (didn't even know I had a B&M till I pulled it). No experience with a Hurst yet though. I am now running the 5.0 with a 6" WS6 store stick. In my opinion the 5.0 kicks the B&M's *** all over the place, then proceeds to rip its head of and **** down its throat. To me the B&M just felt very slushy and imprecise. I know many completely disagree with me though. Just goes to show how much opinions vary. The only way to really know what you like is to try a few out.

Ditto! The B&M sucks. So does the Hurst.

I went from a pro5.0 to a SLP shifter with a stock stick. I love the SLP even with the stock stick but it was just a tad too long of a throw. Last night I cut maybe 1/2" off the stock stick and threaded it down farther with a die. Wow what a difference that little bit made this is by far my fav combo on a f-body. Not only does the throw feel shorter but it feels less sloppy also. To give you idea of how short it is when using the leather hurst **** the bottom of the **** bottoms out on the curve in the stick. I had tried a TNA short stick and it was way way too short for me.

Smooth and pro5.0 dont belong in the same sentence.

Well Im really starting to hate my pro 5.0. When I first got it, the 2-3-4 was perfect and I would never miss.
Now...... I dunno if the return spring is messed up or what, but it makes the 2-3 and 3-4 shifts suck. Doesnt center right all the time and youll hit between the shift gates. To me it just seems like it should be imossible to miss 3-4th but as youll pull the shifter straight back it hits between 2 and 4th and same when goin 2-3 hit hits between 1-3. Pisses me off, Ive never had problems, shifter worked great last year, now it give me a headache and makes it scary to make wot power shifts
I think Im going back to a Billet plus like in my old car, or maybe try that other new shifter.

Has anyone who owns or tried the Billet Plus tried any other aftermarket shifters? I'm curious about the MGW, have heard few negatives about the Billet + and tons of thumbs up on the Pro 5.0 but at the same time a lot of negatives too, just like the post above me

I got the Billet Plus, WS6store 6" stick and the stock Hurst ****.... feels almost like a bolt action!

I havent tried the B&M or the Billet Plus. I did try a friends Pro 5.0 and it was horrible. I could shift quicker with my WS6 store short stick than the aftermarket one. I am gonna try the Billet Plus here soon in a buddies to determine what I will get

Got a Pro 5.0 in mine. I like it. It feels sturdy and precise. I still nick the gate going into 3rd now and then though(WOT shifting). I'm just not pushing away enough, I'm not blaming it on the shifter at all.

And, I don't get where all these guys are getting terrible noise from their 5.0? Mine's quiet as can be and I didn't do anything extra to it. Then again, maybe I can't hear it over my cam or solid trans mount?

My only complaint with the Pro 5.0 was the stick loosening up and having to retighten the allen head bolts...but some thread locker solved that issue.
