i am debating the same thing right now. If i get a new one i am going steel as I will be going turbo, and if i go lightweight then i will be shifting every half second.

what do others have to say on this?

I would get a new one if your going to be racing alot, in specs directions they say that you can resurface the old one up to 15 thousandths of an inch. I took it in and the place cut .028 off and told me to use a spacer, I ended up waiting a week for the new flywheel to get here and got nailed with shipping again

I used a resurfaced flywheel that a buddy gave me and followed Specs directions to the T for installation (Stage 3).

I'm very happy with the setup.
