But I'm not blaming the clutch, it wheel hopped bad. I like the clutch, got about 50 passes launching @ 4500rpm and 2000 street miles.

I'm going to go the local truck parts ware houses and take them my stock Z06 and see if I can get a medium duty twin plate for cheap. I'll let y'all know how it works. My car is a daily driver. I need stock pedal pressure.
65K miles on it. Many red line side step launches on M/T ET's, plus lots of double clutching in stop and go traffic. Broke close to home. Went to second at about 2kRPM and heard a loud pop from the under the dash some where. Couldn't get into any gear after that and the pedal pressure went way up. Hope it's just the pressure plate.

We've been using the Spec Stage 3+ with very good results. No problems with any of them yet that I know of. It has a much higher torque rating than the Spec Stage 3, and is a much smoother engaging clutch. Bob

McLeod Single here... Been on for 1000+ miles. No problem. Very soft for a heavy clutch. It has almost a stock feel to it. I got the Kevlar/organic disc, so it engages NICELY. Very minimal chatter, only if you really try to ride it out. It seems to like to be engaged quicker.

Spec 3. Break in had a bit of chatter, not very much though.
Grabs hard now, after only breaking in for about 200 miles. No chatter,a nd I beat the bag out of it. I actually just grenaded my trans. last month.
I'll be pulling the spec 3 in favor of a twin disc Mcleod and aluminum flywheel when I get my Gforce T56.
Worked out well for me, but won't hold the power I intend to run next season.

Thats a testament to the grip of the clutch. It will find your weak link in the drivetrain. Although I wouldnt consider that to be a weak link!! How much power were you making?

I have used centerforce dual friction. Not too cool. Centerforce uses a stock hub on thier clutches. They are really a stock clutch with metalic buttons on one side. The idea would work much better if they used a heavy duty hub like ram, hays, and I think Mcleod does. The stock hub has too fat springs that come into contact with the flywheel bolts on good aftermarket steel flywheels. I hope they are better for the f-body cars, but I have my doubts. It seems it would be better to use the ram 900 series disk with a light springed long style or b&b pressure plate with 3roller. If you really like the centerforce pedal feel and don't racing with a diaphram, get one of their pressure plates or just get the heavy duty Valeo plate since thats all centerforce uses anyway. I will be going with a Hays drag race 3 roller Borg and Beck and the ram 909 disk with my 32 lb ram steel flywheel when I reinstall my 350 next weekend. I will post what I think of this combo after my first night at the drags, which is where I place my importance on clutch performance.

Well, Stage 3+ here and no problems so far. (10,000 street miles with about 10 hard runs on street tires) I tossed the idea around for a long time and the shop that put mine in swore to me they've never had one they installed fail. Street driving it is fine unless you just can't stand a little extra work, all of those 10grand were in SoCal traffic. I'm the kinda guy that would daily drive a trex with open exhaust though so don't take my word for driveability.
