If your car is heavy and the engine is mildly modified...go steel.

For what it's worth, I am using the 16 lb chromemoly version...somewhere between the weight of an an aluminum and a stocker. My LS engine is a 454 stroker (good torque) and car weighs around 2800 lbs without me

My whole clutch/fly assembly weighs about 17-18lb. It could be a little on the light side. I think a 22-27lb package complete would be optimal.
