Clutch Delimma
Just recently I've worked up the courage to hit the drag strip with my 98Z. It's my daily driver, so I didn't want to screw it up and be out a ride. Anyway, to make a long story short, I was out on the county roads here in central Indiana and Practiced my qtr mile on new asphalt. It was just after dark so I wasn't able to really see what was going on. I thought I was spinning my tires...hard to tell with SLP Loudmouth screaming at you, when in reality it was my clutch spinning on the flywheel. Needless to say...there is this incredible burning smell...yes the clutch. It's the original and nearly 50K...so it's expected. I need to know what clutch package is recommended by others who have experience with the various products. My car has mild to moderate bolt-ons with a cam and headers planned for this next winter. Please give me some help. I know there have been improvements over the last year or so...so I thought I would at this point forgoe the search on old posts. TIA for any help.

Re: Clutch Delimma
Ram and Mcleod clutches seem to be the best thing going for right now. I ordered my Mcleod from Thunder Racing about a week ago. Dropping the tranny really isn't as much work as I thought it was going to be !
