Default Help with a Clutch Humm

Guys.. I did a search on this and really didn't find anything that matched.

I have what I believe to be a stock clutch. At low rpm when releasing the clutch to start off I get a vibration sound (sounds like a Humm). When I do it at a higher rpm I don't get the vibration. It only happens when I'm starting off. Clutch works fine otherwise. Car has about 49k on it.

Any ideas on what it could be? Do I need to tighten something? Balance or align something? Or do I need a new clutch?

Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Steve

It sounds like a vibration (kind of like "Rrrrrrrrrrrrr") coming from the clutch as I let out the clutch in 1st gear. If I increase the RPM's it doesn't happen. After I'm moving, all is well, there is no sound and no burning smell.

Yeah sounds like its toast. Have you tried a power shift yet?? Take her on the freeway and nail it. In third gear rev it to 4k and without taking your foot off the gas clutch it and throw it in 4th. See if it takes a little while to engage. Both my Spec 3 and my Ram Powergrip did what yours did but with 2 different failures on the clutch. The Spec was just worn to **** in a year and the Ram just blew up (dampner spring).

nah... I think its more rough on the clutch in the 3rd to 4th gears. Tough on the rear from 1st to second.
