Should I get a short shifter in my position
Well, I have a Hurst shifter and stock stick. I like it a lot and it seems pretty good for me. Should I get a short shifter even though i am already pretty happy with my current setup?
Basically, would I be happier with a short stick if the stock one seems alright? I think ill probally go with the ws6store one but idk what size to get, 6.0'' or 6.5''

I think you will like a short stick on the stock hurst. The stock stick on the hurst is a very long throw. Putting a short stick on there allows to shift faster than with the foot long stick.

i would replace the whole shifter if i were you. i just replaced my stock Hurst with a Pro 5.0/LSS, and will never look back. the actual feel is similar to the Hurst (at least the one that i had), only it's more precise, and i now have the peace of mind that i won't **** up something in my tranny if i decide to bang the **** out of my gears, because it has the stop bolts in there to prevent the over-extension.
but in lieu of replacing the whole shifter, i would still get a short stick....it just feels a lot better, it's a lot more solid-feeling (naturally so, it doesn't have that rubber isolator in it like the Hurst does). you probably won't get too much (if any) more noise by going with a different shifter, as long as you leave the rubber boot that goes around it intact. i cut mine for the new shifter, and there is a bit more noise, but it doesn't bother me because i usually just have the stereo on kinda loud anyway, so it gets drowned out.

I got my WS6 store 6 inch stick today. 24 bucks shipped, came in 2 days.
Gonna install it tomorrow. I agree that the stock isn't bad, but this will make my shifts faster and that's what counts.

I would agree start with the short stick. i have the SLP short throw shifter in my car, and the Lou's Quik Stick. it feels pretty good. next time i see ya out at the Clem or something, (when my rear end is in!) jump in my car and drive it up and down some see how you like it
