the name transwiz says it all...

how to change shift points for a manual car...

take drill, place at right eye and aim for right frontal lobe, and drill.

This will "alter" the emotional center of your brain which houses the part that causes (err enjoys) shifting at high rpm. In essence you will shift at lower rpm because you don't feel a rush to do so.

Warning, side effects may include loss of life, bleeding, blindness, loss of labido, any or all emotions but there is a high probability that shift points may change.

I call myself Michael Knight, I wear a black leather jacket, my car's name is KIT, and I don't know about all of you but I just talk to my watch and tell it when to shift and it works out fine for me....

Poor guy, if he's serious... I feel bad... I hope he's referring to the CAGS. We've all started somewhere... I can honestly say I never started anywhere NEAR that. =) Good luck to him...

The only thing i can think of when he mentioned this also, is when you actually match the tranny speed with the engine speed when this happens you can actually shift1-2 and so on without using the clutch( i believe its at like 1400 rpm, the gear will literally just fall into second from first and so on ). However i dont reccomend doing this considering that the tranny is synchroed, there is no point to have shift points. If it is a unsyncroed tranny like a semi's transmission you actually have to learn the shift points otherwise you will grind gears all day long down the road.

Mabye this is what he meant??

you can do that in any gear....it all depends on what rpms your at. if your in first at 4500..and going into second at aroundish 3500...its just matching what your engine speed it to what the tranny in that gear should be. you could figure it out by using www.f-body.org/gears
