Another Clutch Thread
i think that it is time for a new clutch. Today i was messing around at a stoplight waitng for it to turn green.ofcourse being on street tires and a 10 bolt i did not dump the clutch, but rather a 2K RPM feather/slip.. Ok so i start going, and give or take 40 -55 feet i nail it. Tires are spinning, and the clutch jumps the RPM's up pretty high about 5K or so.. at this time it is really slipping. i know the car so i am not hurting it at all. back of regain hit again grabs so her comes 2nd gear nail 2nd gear and it is still slipping letof so that the flywheel can catch up. so it did then i proceeded to drive like a big dawg up to 140. but 3rd - 5th was fine i have big problem with 1st - 2nd ans sometimes 3rd gear..So i was thinking LS7 clutch.. Car maybe will see the track 2 times a year. It is a Daily Driver.. WHAT ARE YOUR SUGGESTIONS?????? NO SPEC, SPEC IS GARBAGE.
thanks for your help
My Spec lasted 18K and was not driven too hard IMO - all city driving and no track passes. I didn't want chatter (RAM) and wanted to get some more stock like life out of it which is why I went with the LS7. The life is still TBD on the LS7 but I expect it to be better than what I had with the Spec or stocker.
how much?? and where are the PN's at???
yea i heard bad stuff with the spec.. and have hear only good stuff with the LS7..
