Thats my point. Clutch travel on these cars is rather long.

Mine has 700 miles on it and it grabs about half way up the pedal.

Did any of you guys get your clutch assemblies balanced first or did you not bother? If not did you notice any vibrations?

LS7 is ready to bolt in out of the box. No extra balancing required.

My LS7 clutch set up went on last week with my new heads and cam set up. Im 500 BHP 420 RWHP. Im 130 miles into my package and would not jump on it yet hard. Ill break it in for another couple hundred miles.

A friend of mine has 460 RWHP on his C5 with the same LS7 clutch set up as me. I drove his car, and it holds like a ****. I hit a gear with it and it locks right up. He also has 3.90s

When you rebuild the motor and or clutch, you really should be gentle on it for a couple hundred miles as if it was a new car.

I did install the adjustible master cylinder and have not adjusted it yet. My car grabs a couple inchs off the floor. It grabs great, but im going to adjust like stock where it grabs a little higher on the throw

I have about 650 miles on mine and at first it engaged RIGHT off the floor. A little too close for comfort at first. It has since moved up and now engaged about 2 inches or so from the floor - still a little lower than I'd prefer but I've gotten used to it.

So far it has proven to be very SMOOTH with zero chatter but also grabs great. I'm loving it compared to my Spec Stage 3 that only lasted 18K for me.

Another update guys.....
a bit late but .....
on the 100 shot the car made 508/485 and i had no problems spraying the car three back to back times ...clutch held all of it. no smoke...no smell...no soft pedal...clutch has about 4k on it, and its engagment is almost centered.
I loved it and will get it again in the future.
But i just sold my car today so i cant update anymore.
good luck to yall who have it.

Good to hear. My LS7 clutch has 320 miles on it so far. After my break-in period is over, I'm expecting some good results out of my cammed f-body.

the gto ls2 FW is different. You need the corvette LS2 FW to work with the LS7 clutch and PP.

I love my LS7 clutch 5000+ miles 30 passes at the track no problems so far. Recently installed a 402 and took it to the track again held great even with me slipping it off the line.

Video of it in action:

***update***

It did not hold to well on the last trip to the strip. It didnt slip bad but did not engage rapidly under WOT shifts at the track. still held great on the street tho.
