Ls7 clutch beatdown !
A friend of mine has 460 RWHP on his C5 with the same LS7 clutch set up as me. I drove his car, and it holds like a ****. I hit a gear with it and it locks right up. He also has 3.90s
That's my car. So far I've got about 8k miles on it and it's holding really well. Of all the things I've done to the car, this clutch is one area that I don't even think of. I added the Cartek adjustable master almost immediately after install to set the pedal exactly where I want it. I don't track the car but I pound the living hell out of it....very frequently.
Feels like a stock clutch without the smell.
i talked to the guy who bought my car....and he still has no issues with the clutch...
something else i just remembered...i had a shim on the slave cylinder from the last spec 3 that was in the car.... that might have helped engagement.

LS1 and LS6 flywheels are similar, LS2 and LS7 flywheels are similar. LS1/LS6 = Gen 3, LS2/LS7 = Gen 4. All will bolt into a LSx type engine, but I was sure the LS7 clutch/pressureplate needed a LS2 style flywheel. I recall my LS1 flywheel was flat while the LS2 flywheel was indented. I didn't try linging them up, but from eyeballing it they were meant to mesh with the proper gen clutch/flywheel.
