What year did tremec start making the T-56 What year did they switch over from Borg Warner to Tremec?

Re: What year did tremec start making the T-56 Yep, in 98. Which was also the WORST mistake GM ever made. Ever since Tremec has been making the T-56's, they have been blowing up left and right. The BW t-56's held up to tons more power, and many more miles of driving.

Re: What year did tremec start making the T-56 Tremec makes the T56 to Borg Warner specs. My 00 M6 has BOTH names on it. 46k and hundreds and hundreds of passes at the track and all is well. No flat shifting, just speed shifting. BTW my 97 SS with the T56 used to pop out of third occasionally on decel. Go figure!
