help! quick disconnect problem

Default help! quick disconnect problem
i cant seem to get the quick disconnect back together for the slave cyl. looks like its gotta go another 1/8 inch or so, and its looks like its bottoming out before it locks into place.pushed extremly hard, no luck. wtf? they are the same 2 pieces i took apart before engine/ trans removal.
any pointers? seems like the depth of the female end has changed shallower... its really pissin me off!

are the locking fingers on the female end bent?? may be they are not locking on to the male end. Just an idea.

nah, its not that. i cant get the male end in far enough to get it to lock. the ring in the female end should give way, but it wont i think for some reason. such a stupid prblem, but its a big problem... any pionters? what the **** am i missing?

The bleeder on the slave has to be opened to get it back on.

I put mine back together with the bleeder closed, but this is worth a shot.

I think I read that on installuniversity... I could be wrong, but mine woudlnt go back together until I cracked the bleeder open.

so i feel like an idiot, but is the bleeder the thing above the connect? and if i can get to it, i crack it counter clockwise to hopefully relieve presser so i can get the hydro line to go back on? jus askin and tryin to be careful,
not tryin to break it, that would suck to have to take down the trans again.

Yeah it is. You cannot see it with the trans installed. You have to reach up there with a 7/16 socket I believe. You should be able to reach up and feel it
