Car pops out of 3rd gear?

Car pops out of 3rd gear? I tried to search but it's not working for me.
My 98 Z pops out of 3rd on occasion, usually when under constant throttle. It doesn't seem to do it on accel or decel as much. Is this a common thing?
I remember reading something about a bent 3rd shift fork can cause this, so would replacing that cure the problem? I'm going to be putting a clutch in soon so I might as well fix this problem while the tranny is out.

I have had the z for 5 years, It has always popped out of third, its the shift forks, I know I need a rebuild but I just hold the shifter while drive, no popouts 
Personaly I dont think it will hurt anything.......

It wont hurt anything, ist basicaly a question of whether or not you want to deal with it. Mine did it from the day i bought it til the day i sold it. I probably raced that car a good 200 times in the year and a half i had it, giving it hell the whole time. never had a problem.
