Please don't post your personal bias on what you think of SPEC, I want educated guesses here.

Do you guys think a SPEC 3 with a hybrid disk will hold up to 4-5k rpm launches on drag radials, with 310rwhp and a 150 NOS shot coming in at 3krpm WOT?

 

Not sure what the hybrid disk is, but my Spec 3 has done fine at 5500rpm launches cam only in a 3500lb car and I would not be affraid to throw another 150 at it or another 500rpms.

 

ive launched at 5k with hoosier drag's and my spec never failed me although the tq arm did...im on my 2nd spec stg3 with only about 1500 miles on it but i got 30k HARD miles out of the 1st one..when i said hard i mean hard!!!

Mine SPEC 3 held on for a year and close to 100 passes getting dumped @ 5500-6000. I was at the track this past saturday and it finally started slipping. I have a feeling the new 11.5" ET streets had something to do with it.
Like the other guys said, make sure it's installed and broken in properly and you should be good to go.

 

My Spec 3 lasted 18000 miles and about a year. I could not get the car to launch any higher than 4500 rpms or else it would not come out of first gear. I ran on et streets with 420 rwhp when racing. I am not sure about the pass count but it was above 50.

The hybrid disk is a stage 2 on one side and a stage 3 on the other.

 

i have a regular stage 3 and ive been launching it at at least 4500 rpm
