wow nice looking clutch, looks like its capable of honding some seriouse power. I just washed up from taking out my tranny and pulled my spec to see how it looked, not to bad but there is a ring where the material is missing and the flywheel has a groove. Let us know how this clutch works for you, like if it chatters and how it drives. How much you get it for?

$1249 from ByunSpeed.
Comes in one hell of a crate too. Here is mine:
Hey 2002/Black/SS, do you see how to keep the thing lined up to maitain balance on reassembly? All I see is one white mark on the pressure plate; nothing on the flywheel.

Place loctite in the bolt holes, not on the bolt as it tends to get wiped off when installing the bolt through the pressure plate hat.
Torque the bolts to 55 lbs (stock GM spec).
The pressure plate is neutrally balanced, so orientation isn't an issue if you move it. But, try to keep it the way we sent it if you can, and the hat is usally set up "best" the way we send it.
Line the discs up so the plates are in line with one another, and the pucks aren't off a few splines. This allows for consistent loading on the clutch.
I am including pictures to ensure you re-assemble in the right order. They are numbered 1-2-3-4. The clutch discs should be marked also.
Other than that, follow our normal procedures outlined in our normal clutch installation documentation which I have also attached.

Tex...whats the idea behind having only one sprung, and one solid plate ???
Can you get both plates sprung ?
What weight is a stock clutch setup ?
What isnt rebuildable ? im sure the friction surfaces can be re-cut, and new friction linings fitted to the plates.
Id like to hear a few more reports on how it drives etc. I might upgrade soon.

45lbs is light in my book. My stock setup had some weight to it. My McLeod was quite heavy, also. Must have been 60lbs.
Sick looking clutch. Of course I allways find a better one after I install mine. Oh, well. My Single disk will be good for a while. I won't be pushing 700hp any time soon anyway.

As for being rebuildable, the unit is quite rebuildable... We've stated as such before. The entire unit is designed to be serviceable and rebuildable.

Tex...can you answer my question please ?
Whats the idea behind having only one sprung, and one solid plate ???
Surely both plates will clamp at the same time....so any spring effect, just wont happen ?

Stevieturbo - The clutch works great with one sprung plate.
You can not get the dual disc with two sprung plates.
