Default Shifter bouncing around

When shifting under hard acceleration the transmission really bounces around. Would a solid trans mount or urethane mount eliminate or lessen this?

I'd avoid the poly trans mount. I put one on in my V6 and it did get rid of the bounce, but added a lot of tranny noise. Most people recommend upgrading the front two motor mounts to poly, but leaving the rear in rubber for daily drivers. If you are young or this isnt a daily driver then you could probably get a poly mount.

You can just pick one up at Auto Zone actually - pretty easy to find. I did this along with poly motor mounts, and I've been really happy with the results. No preload plate for me though...

I have a ripper, its not the shifter its the whole transmission.

As for motor mounts, they are poly and came with the bmr k member. I probably need a new trans mount as mine is 12 years old. What is the difference between the 1LE and the poly mounts? This car isnt a daily driver and probably sees 2000 miles a year. The entire suspension is all polyurethane mounts so i dont think the trans will be much of a problem.

My shifter moves up and down a lot at the moment. The stock rubber tranny mount is torn. I have a poly mount from Autozone waiting to go in this winter when I do my clutch. Should be a whole new beast in the spring!

So if I read correctly, you guys left the preload plate off when you installed the poly mount? Does that reduce vibrations or something? I guess I will need to make sure I do the same when I install mine.
