Default Violently poped out of gear.... WTF?!

This has only happened to me once. This is a new transmission, w/ about 1200 miles on it. I talked to Amber @ T56 Rebuilds the other day (Q's on my core trans). She told me that they set the transmissions up w/ .0000" tolerances. That might be why this happened.

I was on my way to work a couple weeks ago and I had the clutch floored, was coming to a stop, put it in 1st, went to let the clutch up and WHAM!.... It threw the shifter back into my hand so hard, it almost hurt like someone hit me w/ a baseball bat. It was loud too! Sounded like someone hit my car.

Could this also be caused by a tight suspension/drivetrain?

EDIT:-- Since I lowered my car I have not gotten around to re-adjusting my Pinion Angle, could this have been maybe, some sort of driveline windup?? -Stupid Question, but I just thought of it.

MODS:
T56 Rebuilds Micronite transmission
FULL McLeod Clutch system, 02 Slave (casting #8)
Speed inc Short Stick

Rear SUSP:
BMR TA
Poly Trans Mount
BMR PHB
LCA's w/ RLB's
Eibach Proikit
Bilstien shocks

It did it frequently on my old transmission. When I called T56R I asked about the condition of my Core, they said that I had almost NO syncro teeth left on 2nd gear, 4th and reverse for some reason.... (trans was acting up since I bought the car about 4 years ago)

I'm thinking maybe it just wasn't in all the way.

If the shifter has stops, try readjusting the stops if they are to close it could cause the trans to pop out. The stops should have 1/4 inch clearence.

neah.... No stops here. At least I didn't notice them when I had the shifter off. Stocker, I'm 99% sure. It's got a Gold Color to it.

Other than that... I have have NO problems at all w/ your transmission, Joe. I'm just curious to why this happens.

If it only did it once is it possible you did not have the clutch completely engaged? I would say if it only did it once and has been fine since then could be something else related. If it was the trans you would notice it doing it more often. Once is nothing to be concerned with as it could be the shifter was not in gear all the way?

Thanks,
Amber

You might want to change the title to the thread though. It sounds from the title like it is doing it all the time.

ok, picture this. .....At a dead stop..... Place shifter in gear, go to let clutch out to start accelleration (nothing fancy or fast) and BANG.. It sounded like an M80 under my car.

I yelled at her (the car) and asked... "What'd ya do that for?!.... I'm being nice!"... My car is picky, she gets moody if I'm not haulin ***.

And yes, for the most part, the shifter was probably not in gear all the way, but it felt like it. I think it's time for a Pro 5.0 shifter, something adjustable.
