Default Hurst Billet to Pro 5.0

Well Right now I have the Hurst billit plus in my car? Its the hurst with the gold base has ajustable stoppers in it, also have the lous short stick. And I heard the Pro 5.0 was the best so I am asking for it for christmas and found out yesterday my dad has bought me one off ebay.

Just wondering if this was a waste of a present? I guess I can always put the Hurst in my moms Z or sell it.

Should I swap the spring from the hurst to the pro 5.0? Ive heard there stiffer and will eliminate the lazy return to nuetral?

Any help is greatly appreciated thanks guys.

Well I have the Pro 5.0 and I love it. Although I did go with the UMI short stick instead of the pro 5.0 stick b/c it was too long. Most people in here love it but there are the select few that hate it and say that it is too notchy feeling. IMO I like the notchy feeling but you will just have to see for yourself. But if you see that you don't like it and would rather go back with what you had, you should have no problem selling it to someone in here once you hit your 50 post mark. I would give it at least 2 to 3 weeks of driving before you make your mind up on it since it might take a little getting used to the feel of it. Hope that helps you out.

i have the billet plus and i love it,i've driven cars with the pro 5.0 and to me they feel the same except for the 5.0 isnt as self centering as the billet plus,i've never missed 3rd with the billet plus. to me the 5.0 feels like stock but with a shorter throw

I had a pro 5.0 but sold it shortly after installing it. It was way too noisy and it didn't recenter itself very good. My friend has a billet plus on his z28 and I love it. I might get one of those someday. If you feel like selling yours pm me and maybe we can work something out.
