I installed a Pro 5.0 in my 1996 SS and LOVED it... I left it stock (didn't cut it) I didnt notice any excessive noise like people are talking about either... I was suprised at how quick it allowed me to shift! Very positive/great feeling.

I have the B&M Ripper in my 2001 Corvette now, and didnt like it at first.. Still not sure about it...... ALOT tougher to shift.. My rist/arm was sore for the first week or two getting used to this hog... Not sure thats how shifters are supposed to be!? Its clicks into gear, which is cool, but its alot stiffer than the Pro 5.0 (dont like that!)

I would prefer a Pro 5.0 over the B&M any day!

Ive run 4 diffrent shifters on my 01 ta (from stock, ebay, hurst, pro 5.0) the pro 5.0 blows them all away.

I didnt like my pro5.0 at all at first it was too notchy. Now I am getting use to it and starting to like it and also realized my fluid was black in the clutch reservoir so once I get that flushed soon I think it will do alot better. I havnt tried the B&M but I think the pro5.0 is a good shifter if everything is in good working order.

How would you compare the B&M to the Hurst+stick?

Drove my buddys LT1 Formula with a B&M and it was nice but I love my pro 5.0. Both are nice but the 5.0 is IMHO is better.

Yeh you really cant compare shifters on 2 different cars tho 1 car the hydraulics just might work better. I didnt like the pro 5.0 at first but my clutch fluid seriously needed flushed. So if all is in good working order I have no doubt the pro 5.0 is a great shifter.

I had a Pro 5.0, and the spring that returned the shifter to center when in neutral was busted; it seems like that is a common problem. For $200, I wasn't impressed at all. For my next LS1, B&M or just utilize the hurst w/ a short stick.

I LOVE the B&M in my Cobra (mildly applicable to you guys), and the Hurst in my buddy's T/A is pretty decent. I can't stand how notchy the Pro 5.0's are though, I think I just like the smoothness of my B&M more.

Pro 5.0 with a Lou Short Stick FTMFW!!!! By far the best shifter out IMO. The LSS is the perfect compliment for the pro5.0 shifter, the stick is angled perfectly so it is damn near inpossible to miss a shift with this.

I dont see how the shifter has anything to do with the return spring. The ball on the end of the shifter is the only part of the shifter that goes in the tranny itself.

This guy in this vid has a pro 5.0 and if you can shift this fast with it its got to be good lol. He also has the drill mod and a spec 3 I think.

Bought my 98 TA all stock except for an the Ws6 wheels, LS6 clutch and the B&M Ripper. I would never think of changing my Ripper, absolutely LOVE it.

I really think its a "whatever is cheaper at the time" sorta purchases. But my vote was for the Ripper.

Have you ever driven with a different shifter on a T56 before?

Pro 5.0 is the only way to roll IMO. I never tried the factory Hurst with a short stick, but I hated that shifter... Pro 5.0 with the factory rubber sound deadening/insulators and it's quiet as can be.

Its and awesome shifter the way it comes, but I bought a WS6 store straight short stick and I prefer it this way.

Perfect throw for the old 1-2, and 2-3 powershifts.
