Default do i need new pads or synchros?

do these look like they need replacing? the pads look good but is that what the synchros/blockers are supposed to look like?

Im not to sure what to look for but since you have it all apart you might as well upgrade, or at the very least replace them with stock parts. Were you having problems shifting? Might want to take a look at the syncro teeth, and keys to make sure there ok.

By the way if you bang gears I would upgrade to the steal 3-4 shift fork

I too would upgrade to the carbon fiber lined blocker rings and the steel 3/4 shift fork. Also, that pad looks a little cracked to me where the fork is curving. What are you replacing during this rebuild?

thanks for the input guys, i was having problems getting into reverse and first/third. sometimes it wouldn't even let me into reverse. so i thought that my synchros were worn. so far everything looks really good, my pads aren't worn at all, the keys look good, the gears look brand new, and there is still some material left on the blocker rings. the synchro teeth look pretty good too. i'm starting to think my clutch wasn't adjusted right. i'm planning on doing the steel 3-4 fork and the new carbon synchros since i'm already in there, but i'm really looking for the root of my problems as well.
