Default Clutch drill mod question

I saw the diagram on install university, and I understand what has to be done. Question is when I drill the clutch line do I drill thru the center of the quick-disconnect fitting or is there some way to remove the fitting and only drill the line. Or is it the other end of the line? thanks for any input

Don't believe you can disconnect the actual quick-disconnect. You can also go to www.ls1info.com for more on the drill-out.
