WOT = trouble

it all started when i had a friendly race with a C5 on the high way, it was a simple 3-5 gear race and right after that race my clutch was on the floor... i pumped it once or twice then it got back to normal.. and today was the first day i went WOT again and just by going WOT in 3rd gear for like 2-3 seconds the clutch was on the floor again.. im a Head/cam/intake car thats making over 4xx rwhp but still on the stock clutch. i read about changing the slave and master cylinder helping, but could this be clutch related as well? any help would be appreciated. if i need to drop the tranny to fix the problem i might as well get a new clutch. let me know what you think! thanks guys

I would get a RAM adj. master cylinder. Not that expensive and pretty easy to install.

When I had this problem I believe it was the slave cyl, though my clutch and flywheel were replaced at the same time (ripped the clutch apart on a 3-4).

well either your slave cylander goes or it doesnt, it doesnt go and then work and then go and work. Sounds to me like you are having a problem with the pressure plate. If your foot went to the floor and it jsut stayed there and nothing you did would help than i would suspect slave cylander but by the way it went and came back i might look elsewhere. Check your clutch fluid level, it your are very low than you deffinetly have a problem with the hydraulics if not that go after that pressure plate, double check the little ball for the clutch fork as well, they can sometimes break though that doesnt sound like a problem for you either just check it anyway when u do a clutch

yeah the clutch wouldnt just stick to the floor. it would stick, id kinda let my foot off the clutch and kinda pumped it once or twice then it kinda felt back to normal
