500 miles of in town driving....this is mandatory. I put in a Z06 clutch a couple of years ago, and the bug to do 5 grand clutch dumps left the clutch slipping inside of 500 miles. You need to just drive back and forth accross town. Lots of stop and go. It sucks, but thats how you do it right. Good luck

having a spec stage 3 w/ceramic disk installed on tues what is the best way to "break in" the clutch i know people say like 500 miles but is that city miles or highway miles does it matter???
How long before i can dump it???

 

It's all about getting the clutch disc seated to the mating surfaces of the pressure plate and flywheel. Do the break in!

 

try reving it up to 6grand or so, and just slowly let the clutch out, i have heard this works also, but you gotta let the clutch out SLOWLY! <img border="0" title="" alt="[Cool]" src="gr_images/icons/cool.gif" />

she'll go, and just drop the clutch. When
