Default ARP Flywheel bolts - Who has disassembled after using Red Loctite?

Getting ready to do my clutch installation (spent the whole week just trying to get to it on the Vette ) I bought a set of ARP flywheel bolts. I see a lot of recommendations for "red" loctite. ARP instructions say to use their Moly lube, but I am afraid to do that since getting back in there again is a big issue.

Has anyone actually removed a flywheel with the ARP bolts in it that have been previously installed with the Red loctite? I am concerned I will never get them out again.

ARP says to use their lube becuase it ensures an accurate clamping force relative to the amount of torque that you torque the botl to.

If you use red loctite you wil be able to get it back off again. I would use the red loctite. Be sure to evenly torque the bolts.

Red Loctite says it is permanent, but it isn't. You'll still be able to get them out without a problem. They'll just be a little bit harder to break free.

Is loctite supposed to be used on lubed threads? ARP bolts seem to come pre-lubed, but from what I understand, for thread-lock to work, it must be put on clean dry thread, so how do I correctly install the bolts?

I'd be curious as to what ARP would say on this. Such a critical bolt in a hard to reach spot, I wonder if they have a recommended torque spec after cleaning the threads and applying loctite.

I have used red loctite on OEM FW bolts a dozen times. No issue on removal. Do clean threads and chase holes if removing bolts previously used with red loc tite on re-install.

ARP makes a quality product but in the end it is a "bolt" and red lock tite is recommended on FW & PP bolts.

The oil on most ARP black oxide fasteners when you take them out of the package is just corrosion protection. Already them clean with some brake cleaner then apply the correct lubricant or thread locker/sealant for the application after the brake cleaner dries.

Ive removed them a few times, even from an Aluminum flywheel, and didnt have a single issue at all. They are a little snug coming out, but not enough to concern me the slightest bit.
