I'm contemplating a swap to an m6. I'm pretty sure I am going to go ahead and do it. Currently I'm running a
th350 setup. I need to gather a list of parts I need. I'm looking at probably buying the clutch, master cylinder, etc brand new b/c I want something strong enough to hold 500-600hp on spray anyway. I am not going to worry about the wiring harness and speedo for now. Here's my list. Please add anything you can.

*Used T56 Trans
*T56 Bellhousing
*McLeod Street Twin Dual-Disk Clutch, Steel Flywheel & new master cylinder, 1998-2002 LS1 F-body
*M6 Crossmember(already got it)
*M6 pedal Assembly
*GM Pilot Bearing, 1998-2002 LS1 F-body
*Shifter
*Fluid
*Pilot Bearing
*GM 2001 LS1 Clutch Slave Cylinder
*Bolts(Will the bolts for these things come with them?)


What about the lines for the hydraulics? Will I have to buy them new from GM or do they come with these other

parts?
I have a feelings I'm definately missing some little things. Help me out here. Thanks.

Well if your looking to support 500-600rwhp, I wouldn't get a used trans thats for sure, you could always get a used one and have it BUILT, but I wouldn't throw it in there as is...you will just run into more problems...

When I switched from my M6 to A3 a LOT of things got switched, I kept the wiring harness and the same CPU setup, you need a new clutch, bellhousing, Torque arm too I think, driveshaft, etc

I should be good on the TQ arm. I have a BMR one that does not care about the trans. I'm hoping the custom DS I have will work. As long as it isn't too short I can have it modified locally to work. Any other details to look for? I'm hoping a used T56 will work since a new one costs so much more. I don't plan on actually drag racing the car on slicks near as much anymore. Mostly street use.

What did you have to do to your harness and cpu to get it to work right? i've heard you have to swap the pcm too? Or can edit fix that?

The pcm doesn't hickup about the th350. It throws codes and the ses light but drives fine. I eliminated all the codes and ses light with ls1 edit. Only the newest rev of ls1 edit actually works for this. My speedo doesn't work which I never really missed. Tired of the th350 already though and want an m6.

The only codes I was getting was the CPU thinking my clutch wasn't there, I couldn't get rid of that SES light w/edit though...other than that the car runs great...
