Default Weird gear noise after Pro 5.0 install

Yesterday I installed a Pro 5.0 w/ Lou's Short Stick (love it) but since the install a noise has developed. It sounds exactly like what would happen if the car were idling and you tried to push it into gear without using the clutch (a "stripping" noise), but it does this very faintly with the clutch engaged while driving. It's pretty persistent, are these the normal drivetrain noises that creep up into the cabin after a shifter install, or does this sound like the gears are being over engaged? I backed out the stop bolts altogether as per the instructions on install university, and that's the only thing I can think of that could be the root of the problem. Any advice?

A shifter install will increase the cabin noise quite a bit.

The solid feel that an aftermarket shifter provides drawback is it will more readily transfer noise back to the driver's compartment.
Totally normal & many before you have had the same problem.
I prefer the crisper shifting & got used to the noise.

Strange, I adjusted the stop bolts and the noise went almost entirely away. The cabin noise is almost spot on with stock now that I've played with things a bit.

If you had them adjusted to the point of the shifted keeping tension on the shift collars & forks that can cause noise.
If it is like that & laying on the bolt it can transfer alot of noise.
The T-56 has internal stops the stock shifters have none.
The Pro5.0 is meant to keep you from overextending shifts/wasted motions.
Plus it is much more solid feel with the stops properly adjusted.

Adjust the stops just as it says in the instructions.
