when to upgrade mcleod single disc?
at what hp rating do u think it wont be enough? im looking to make around 440-450 rwhp on motor and would like to strap a 100 or 150 shot on the car for ***** and giggles. is the single disc going to be able to hold it. mcleod said 500-600hp to use the twin but i know they can be on the safe side. anyone have real world experience? and this car uses an et drag and a 2 step at 6-6500.

I think it's time for an upgrade.
You can just run it & find out if it will hold?
I ran my single kevlar/organic, it held up to the 2 step & E/T drags pretty good.(no spray though)
It started powering thru at the traps & my shift light would come on early. That was at least 60 slick runs & 10K on the clutch.
So I knew it was slipping.
I'm running the twin now & it couldn't be better, best LSx clutch I have drove IMO.

well the deal is i broke the tranny at the track in december. so i have to pull it to rebuild. id like to do the clutch at the same time. i was going to just send it to mcleod and have them rebuild it and put it back in but now im wondering if it will hold if i spray it. ive never driven thru it yet and it has about 12k and 20-25 passes on it. still grabs very hard at my current power level. otherwise id make a few passes and see if it held or not.
