Textralia OZ700 Write Up
All I have to say is wow, the textralia really does feel like stock. Im running a cam, fullboltons, fullsuspension, etc and i expect to be about 400rwhp+.
I did textralia oz700, steel billet 22lb flywheel (i think), arp flywheel bolts, drill mod, bought a new slave cylinder (but it was defective from GM so i used my old one), and flushed my hydraulics.
The engagement point is slightly a bit lower than stock but i think pedal pressure is the same and you can drive it in the same manner as you do for stock.
Ive driven it like 400 miles so far. I gave it a break in time and heat cycled it a few times before beating on it. Wow, it just grabs if you drop it and when i rip the gears, the car squats soo hard. Im running 275 gs-d3s and they grab hard on the shifts but the clutch still chirps em hard.
I have no problems with the transmission disengagement or any chatter whatsoever.
I hear it can hold upwards of 600-800 hp so I will be happy to add some spray soon.
I will followup when i get more mileage on it.
Ill have to check it out.
I had the Spec 3 before this clutch and it was nice for a little while but did not last 2 years. I have about 430 RWHP.
Well I don't remember what my stock clutch felt like..Im old, but I dont remember it being this light feeling. The Spec 3 was a lot more stiffer. Im getting used to it, but it does grab low and holds big time. Cant wait to take it to the track.
The clutch was installed with a new GM Clutch Slave Cylinder/Actuator and right away it was like this, it engages about an 1 or 2" off the floor. I guess I should just call them and tell them to fix it.
I will post a video tomorrow and talk to textralia or byunspeed and I sure hope this gets taken care of, cause like you I love this clutch other than this noise. But after all this money, only about 2,000 miles, and being stockish now I am concerned about the noise.
Could it be a bad slave even though its new?

Past that you need the twin I have. Its supposedly is good for like 1200 ft pounds. Tex also has some more streetable discs for their twin but not sure if they are offering it both ways or not like the 0z700. Still if you are under 700 then go with the oz700.
