When this clutch came out one of the sponsors put theirs to the test and pretty much came up with the limit around 500 rwhp and that it is not ideal to do high RPM clutch dumps on slicks but a great street clutch. Makes sense I guess the stock ZO6 is around 450 rwhp so it needs to handle that.

Is the slave cylinder the same regardless of the year?

I'm in the market for a new clutch, looks like its gonna be LS7. Should I do the drill mod when the hydralics are out? I have Cut one 1.88 60' w/ stock 01 clutch. Looking to cut some 1.7's w/ LS7 and better DR, want to run low 12's before cam and headers.

I did all new hydraulics when installing my LS7 clutch. I did the drill mod before installing those parts into the car as well. So far no complaints with this set-up. I noticed a big difference from my stock set-up to the drill mod on the new parts. Engaged much quicker without that delay feeling I used to get.
Very happy with this clutch and so far holding up fine with the 508rwhp I am at.
FYI the LS2 flywheel has a larger contact area for the clutch as compared to the LS1 flywheel. So you do need the newer flywheel with the LS7 clutch. And no shims on my set-up.
