I bought a RAM Powergrip HD, use it or not?
I bought this clutch a few weeks ago and been waiting to install it and now I am beginning to wonder if I should. I have read several posts about people having bad luck with them so I would like to hear some input from anyone here that has +/- experience with this clutch. My car is in sig and has H/C/I + a little spray is coming soon!

I haven't put mine in yet either but i have heard good and bad results too, but it seems like every clutch has bad recommendations even the almighty textralia. After about a year of researching I think the ram powergrip hd is the way to go for me. Good luck with it if you choose to keep it.

I bought the billet steel flywheel from ram and will be going with all new hydrolics thru the whole system. After you do the install with the stock flywheel would you post back up your results?

I had one put in my car with my stroker after doing the initial dyno, my Spec III smoked out. The company that did it installed that with the new flywheel and the shim. After my 500ish break in miles on both of them I was ok'd to stand on it. I dumped the clutch at only 2500rpms and it seemed fine. I got on it a few minutes later again and felt it start to slip. By the time I got it back to the shop 50 miles away, I was cruising up the freeway in 3rd gear doing 70 as every gear above that would not catch.
They ordered me a new clutch/flywheel and master cylinder. Now it works beautifully. No problems from that with me and I have about 2,500 miles on it. No track time but some spirited driving.
Oh, the first time the pedal was almost engaging at contact so all I had to do was tap it for shifting. With the new master cylinder, I was able to have it adjusted to where I wanted it.

mine is installed with a stock flywheel, RAM Adj master, and a new slave. Works good so far about 500 miles on it so far, 400 of those were cam only miles, and the other 100 are with ported ls6 heads. holdin strong so far!
