Question Pro 5.0 problem ???

When you move the shifter to the 1-2 gate it wont spring all the way back to the 3-4 gate when released. When I move it to the 1-2 gate and release, it will move about half way back to the 3-4 gate by itself then I have to tap the shiter for it to finish travel. This problem doesn't occur when in the 5-6 gate as it springs all the way back to the 3-4 gate when released. Any suggestions on what the problem is?

Ya my car shifts fine too. I went racing last week and didn't notice it at all and it shifted fine. I just think it is weird so I thought I would ask if anyone else has this problem.

mine is the same. i called pro 5.0 like two weeks ago. they said that the centering springs might be going bad.

now if there all of us that is having this problem. maybe they got a bad batch of springs.

either way mine is getting sold after i send it to "pro" and they fix it.

Mine has only been on for a couple hundred miles, but FWIW it snaps right back where it should every time.

Same here... Im going to do the shim/bolt head mod to the springs to see if that helps any. First im going to do only one side...see if that helps. Might try both sides to see how it feels. Im doing some work on the car which might require removing the shifter soon...so Ill do it then.

Mine still shifts fine it is just a minor issue that I dont like about it. I would have expected a greater quality product from what I read everyone raved about it, so I went with it. I will keep it for now unless it starts to get to me more, maybe I will try the ripper if it does.

Mine started doing that occasionaly. I sprayed it out with brake cleaner real good, blew it dry with compressed air, squirted a little oil in it then some grease. Hasn't stuck since and it has over 7k on it.

Like I said though, mine only did it occasionaly. Are your guys feeling like there getting hung up on something (dirty mayby?) or do they just feel limp?

well more like the centering spring sucks. my car sees sun and only sun on calm days. not to much dirt. but i tried the whole cleaning thing and that didn't work. i know it is the spring.

Mine is a garage queen also so probably not dirty. I properly cut the tunnel shift boot so it isn't possible for road grime to get up in there. I will try to grease it up better. What type of grease did you use? It came with white grease that I have never seen before on it. Most likely though it is a crappy centering spring as mine has maybe 4000 miles on it, which include power tour.
